About Our Privacy Policy

DayChat (formerly basanizomai.gr) is an entertainment and social networking application operated by BASANIZOMAI PRIVATE COMPANY, also known as VASANIZOMAI P.C.

Our mission is to connect people through humor.

The DayChat services covered by this Privacy Policy provide entertaining ways to create, share, and discover humorous content.

When you use these services, you share certain information with us. We want to clearly explain what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and what controls we provide so that you can access, update, and delete your information.

For this reason, we have written this Privacy Policy. We have tried to write it in simple language with minimal legal terminology so that it is easy to understand.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@daychat.app.

Privacy Policy for the EU

Users in the European Union and the European Economic Area

If you are a user in the European Union or the European Economic Area, please note that DayChat is the data controller of your information. Below is additional information you should know:

Legal Bases for Using Your Information

Your country allows us to use your personal information only when certain conditions are met. These conditions are called legal bases. At DayChat, we rely on one of the following legal bases:

Contract

We may use your information because you have entered into an agreement with us. For example, when you purchase our merchandise and accept our Terms of Service, we may use certain information to collect payment and ensure you receive the correct product at the correct time and address.

Legitimate Interests

We may use your information because we—or a third party—have a legitimate interest. For example, we need to use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our services. This includes protecting your account, uploading your posts and comments, providing customer support, and showing you content you are likely to enjoy.

Most of our services are free. To support DayChat, we may use this information to show relevant ads. We believe our legitimate interests do not override your right to privacy, so we rely on legitimate interests only when we believe the way we use your data does not significantly impact your privacy.

Consent

We may ask for your consent to use your information for specific purposes. If we do, we will ensure that you can withdraw your consent at any time through our services or via your device permissions.

Even when we do not rely on consent, we may still request permission to access data such as your location.

Legal Obligation

We may use your personal information when required to comply with the law, such as responding to valid legal process or taking actions to protect users or our employees.

Your Right to Object

You have the right to object to our use of your information.

For certain data, we provide the ability to delete your data if you no longer want us to store or process it. For other data, you can stop the use of your information by disabling the feature entirely. You can do these things on our website or in our apps.

If you identify other types of information you object to us using, please contact us.

International Transfers

We may collect your personal information from, transfer it to, and process it in the United States and in other countries outside the place where you live.

When we share information about EU and EEA users outside the EU or EEA, we ensure that an adequate transfer mechanism is in place.

For international transfers, we rely on Data Processing and Security Terms (DPST), EU Model Contract Clauses (MCC), and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

Your Right to Complain

If you reside in the EU or the EEA and have a complaint, you can submit it to your local supervisory authority. For example, if you reside in the United Kingdom, you can submit a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children (EU/EEA)

Our services are not intended for people under 16 years old. We do not direct our services to people under 16.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. We may limit how we collect, use, and store certain information from EU or EEA users aged 13 to 16 in countries where such users are permitted.

If we must rely on consent as a legal basis to process your information and your country requires parental consent, we may require your parent’s consent before collecting and using such information.
